A brand new trailer for Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams was released by Amazon Prime Video for New York Comic Con. In it, we get a look at the standalone episodes based on the iconic science fiction writer’s work. You can check out the trailer for Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams in the player below.
Based on the short stories from one of science fiction’s most prolific authors, Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams explores humanity in 10 standalone episodes. From 5 to 5000 years in the future, each story in the anthology will question what it means to be human in uniquely ambitious, grounded, yet fantastical worlds.
For instance, in the “Real Life” episode of Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams, written by Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica) and directed by Jeffrey Reiner, Anna Paquin will play “a policewoman living in the future who shares headspace with George, played by Terrence Howard, a brilliant game designer, as each pursue violent killers whose plans could have shattering consequences. In a race against time, sharing a bond that no one else can see, they learn the very thing that connects them can also destroy them.”
The cast includes Paquin, Howard, Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Timothy Spall (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire), Steve Buscemi (Fargo), Lara Pulver (Sherlock), Greg Kinnear (As Good as It Gets), Mireille Enos (World War Z), Rachelle Lefevre (Under the Dome), Sam Witwer (Being Human), Richard Madden (Game of Thrones), Holliday Grainger (The Borgias), Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring), Juno Temple (The Dark Knight Rises), Janelle Monae (Hidden Figures), Maura Tierney (ER) and Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones).
A number of writers are working on the standalone episodes, including Jack Thorne, Moore, Michael Dinner, Tony Grisoni, Matthew Graham, David Farr, Dee Rees, and Travis Beacham. Bryan Cranston will executive produce.
