As Nintendo has said many times, they moved into the mobile space to have their content reach new audiences, and in turn, get those audiences familiar with what Nintendo does. Nintendo's president Tatsumi Kimishima has now said that the main goal for these mobile experiences is to get consumers to check out Switch.
“The top priority for us when we release smartphone games is to lure more new users to the Switch.”
I wonder how many people will look into getting a Switch because of the mobile experiences from Nintendo. I can't imagine the crossover being too big, but perhaps that will change with Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.
