It’s been quite a while since we’ve heard anything from Marvel’s upcoming Black Panther film. The last we saw was back in July before San Diego Comic-Con when Entertainment Weekly released some gorgeous images from the movie. Prior to that was in June when the first teaser released and made all our jaws drop to the floor in awe. Well Marvel decided to turn our Monday blues around by giving us a brand- new full trailer for Black Panther. Not only that, but we get a new poster as well!
In the trailer, we see T’Challa returning home after the events of Captain America: Civil War. With his father gone, T’Challa must take his place as the new king of Wakanda. For the first time, we get a closer look at exactly how technologically advanced Wakanda really is in comparison to the rest of the world. The young king must also defend this gem of a homeland against Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) and Ulysses Klaw (Andy Serkis), who appear to have a mutual partnership in attempting to dethrone T’Challa. Check it out for yourself below!
Black Panther hits theaters on February 16, 2018. The film is directed by Ryan Coogler and stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Angela Bassett, Andy Serkis, Danai Gurira, Forest Whitaker, Martin Freeman, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, and Daniel Kaluuya.
