Stranger Things to get a third season

Stranger Things Season 2
The second season of Stranger Things is coming to Netflix in October, but it looks like the streaming service is already confident in pushing for a third season. Co-creators Ross and Matt Duffer have confirmed that Stranger Things season 3 is happening. That’s pretty amazing, considering that the second season hasn’t premiered yet.

In addition, Ross has told Vulture that the series will likely be “a four-season thing and then out.”

It’s good to know that the Duffer brothers are planning for the long term.

So what can fans expect for the third season? Well, for one thing, the story will probably take place outside of the small, fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana.

“We just have to keep adjusting the story,” said Matt. “Though I don’t know if we can justify something bad happening to them once a year.”

As to not get ahead of ourselves for future seasons, the Duffer Brothers have teased some minor information on the second season, like how it’s going to feel like a movie sequel and not a TV show.

The first season of Stranger Things had 3 friends trying to discover what happened to their friend, Will Byers (Noah Schnapp). Their adventure has taken them into an Upside Down world filled with weird creatures and locations. Now with Will back, the four kids will have to face yet another threat in their small town.

Stranger Things’ second season will premiere on Netflix on October 27th.
