Production officially begins on Ant-Man and the Wasp!
To mark the start of production for the upcoming sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp, Marvel Studios has released a video from the set featuring the stars’ personalized chairs and a brand-new logo for the film! Check it out in the player below.
Paul Rudd (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Role Models) returns as Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man, for the sequel, with Evangeline Lily (Lost, The Hobbit trilogy) returning as Hope Pym and suiting up as The Wasp for the film. Michael Douglas (Falling Down, Basic Instinct) also reprises his role of Dr. Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man, along with Michael Pena (End of Watch, The Martian) as Luis, David Dastmalchian (The Dark Knight, Prisoners) as Kurt, and T.I. (Fast & Furious 6, The Hangover) as Dave.
Newcomers to the cast include Randall Park (Fresh off the Boat, The Interview) as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Jimmy Woo, Hannah John-Kamen (Killjoys, Black Mirror, Game of Thrones) as the Ghost, Michelle Pfeiffer (Dangerous Minds, The Wizard of Lies) as Janet Van Dyne, the wife of Michael Douglas’s Hank Pym and the original Wasp, Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix trilogy, John Wick 2) as Dr. Bill Foster, who in the comics is an assistant to both Tony Stark and Hank Pym and who eventually takes on Pym’s Giant Man abilities and becomes known as Goliath, and Walton Goggins (Justified, The Hateful Eight).
Peyton Reed will return to direct Ant-Man and the Wasp, which is written by Transformers: The Last Knight‘s Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari from a story by Academy Award winner Adam McKay (The Big Short) and star Paul Rudd.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is set for a release on July 6, 2018.
