Marvel’s The Punisher teaser trailer was first revealed at the end of the post-credits for the finale of The Defenders, but it has not been released online. In the video, Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) is shown throwing a sledgehammer to the ground in a fit of rage. During those scenes, we see his family and life begin to fall apart. During the trailer, Castle narrates over the promo, “All the things that I’ve done. Memories, they never hurt me. The past is more than memories, it’s the devil you sold your soul to. He’s coming. He’s coming to collect.”We see flashbacks of Frank’s military life, his family, their deaths, and his course for vengeance. We then see he smashed his infamous skull symbol in the ground.
Bernthal’s Punisher was first seen in Netflix’s Daredevil’s second season as the ex-soldier-turned-vigilante who kills villains – or who he deems as villains – on the streets of New York. At the end of the season, Daredevil and the Punisher develop mutual respect for each other and part ways. Bernthal’s performance was highly-acclaimed by fans and critics, enough to garter his own spin-off series.
Expected to join him in the series is Daredevil alum Deborah Ann Woll, who plays journalist Karen Page; Ben Barnes, who plays villain Billy Russo aka Jigsaw; Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who will play Frank’s tech and gadget man, David Linus “Microchip” Lieberman aka Micro. We will also see Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani; Daniel Webber as Lewis Walcott; Jason R. Moore as Curtis Hoyle; and, Paul Schulze as Rawlins.

Marvel’s The Punisher is set to release later this year on Netflix.
