Ron Howard shares Chewbacca’s close up in Han Solo set photo
As Ron Howard chugs along in completing the upcoming Han Solo movie, the director has taken to sharing some cryptic teasers from the set which have previously shown the likes of the set’s bottled water sitting on the floor, as well as costumes. Now, Howard has shared an interesting photo featuring Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca. Upon further inspection of the photo, however, the shot itself can be seen and it certainly appears like two Wookiees are embracing.
Will Chewbacca finally get a love interest in the upcoming movie or will one of his family members from the never-spoken-about Star Wars Holiday Special be making an appearance? Following the departure of directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, Howard has stepped into to complete filming of the upcoming “Star Wars story.” The untitled Han Solo film is set to feature Hail, Caesar‘s Alden Ehrenreich as Han, with Atlanta‘s Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and The Force Awakens‘ Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca. Woody Harrelson is attached to play Han’s mentor, a man by the name of Beckett, while Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke, Westworld‘s Thandie Newton, The Wire‘s Michael K. Williams and Fleabag‘s Phoebe Waller-Bridge are set for undisclosed roles.
The Untitled Han Solo movie will open in theaters on May 25, 2018.
