New Detroit poster teases Kathryn Bigelow’s latest tense drama
Annapurna Pictures has released a new poster for their upcoming film Detroit, the latest from Academy Award-winning director Kathryn Bigelow. Boasting an ensemble cast, the true thriller hits the big screen August 4. Check out the Detroit poster in the gallery below!

Detroit offers a crime drama set against the backdrop of Detroit’s 1967 riots, a gripping story of one of the darkest moments during the civil unrest that rocked Detroit during that summer. The release date will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the riots.
The expansive Detroit cast includes John Boyega, Will Poulter, Algee Smith, Jacob Latimore, Jason Mitchell, Hannah Murray, Kaitlyn Dever, Jack Reynor, Ben O’Toole, Joseph David Jones, Ephraim Sykes, Leon Thomas III, Nathan Davis Jr., Peyton Alex Smith, Malcolm David Kelley, Gbenga Akinnabve, Chris Chalk, Jeremy Strong, Laz Alonzo, Austin Hebert, Miguel Pimentel, Kris Davis, with John Krasinski and Anthony Mackie.
Detroit is the second feature collaboration between Annapurna and Kathryn Bigelow, who previously worked together, alongside Boal, on the Oscar-winning film, Zero Dark Thirty. Bigelow is producing the film with Annapurna’s Megan Ellison and Matthew Budman. Mark Boal, who penned the script, and Colin Wilson are also producers with Greg Shapiro executive producing.
