It’s time to make a choice. A tough choice indeed: do you like Cake or Ice Cream better?
Both are delicious but only one dessert can claim the sweetest victory in the upcoming Splatoon 2: Splatfest World Premiere, which takes place this Saturday July 15th from 17:00 BST until 21:00 BST.
Announced in the Splatoon 2 Direct last week, the free demo* allows you to not only get a feel for the game ahead of launch, but also take part in a Splatfest! These timed events split players into two sides and has them battling each other in 4-on-4 matches, with each win contributing to the overall score of your chosen side.
Want to be involved in the most heated battle of the summer? You can! All you need is a Nintendo Switch, an internet connection, a Nintendo Account and the free demo, which can be downloaded from Nintendo eShop. You can even download it directly to your system from the Splatoon 2 gamepage**.
If you missed out on the Global Testfire back in March or you’re completely new to Splatoon, you can check out the control layouts below! You can play with the Joy-Con or Pro Controller (sold separately), either on the TV, in handheld mode or tabletop mode!
Need a Nintendo Account? No problem. Just head to the Create a Nintendo Account page and follow the instructions. Once you have that set up, you can download the software from Nintendo eShop on your Nintendo Switch or via the Splatoon 2 gamepage**.
Splatoon 2 launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch on July 21st so this is a great opportunity to have a bash at the game, all while defending the honour of your dessert of choice!
