Nintendo has "nothing to announce" on SNES Classic Edition preorders stateside

Nintendo has officially commented on SNES Classic Editino preorders in the United States, and it's not an answer you want to hear. When asked why there aren't open preorders going on here, a Nintendo rep said that Nintendo has nothing to announce at this time. I usually give Nintendo the benefit of the doubt with things, but the current lack of info on preorders here is mindboggling.
