The most anticipated show Game of Thrones returns in less than a month and HBO is throwing all the punches in their second teaser trailer which showcases the war between the houses and the White Walkers. The trailer did not hold back in the drama and impending war. Everyone is ready to fight for the throne.
In the trailer, we begin with a voiceover by Petyr Baelish warning, “Don’t fight in the North. Or the South. Fight every battle everywhere. Always. In your mind” to Sansa who is walking alone in the snow. We then see a montage of the other characters Jon, Cersei, Daenerys, Arya, Petyr, Tyrion, The Hound, and of course, dragons. The trailer is accompanied by the dramatic ominous music from season six’s finale.
War is coming, but ultimately, will it be between humans or the undead? Jon provides us some insight that possibly all the houses will work together against the White Walkers. In the trailer, he says “For centuries, our families fought together against their common enemy, despite their differences together. We need to do the same if we’re going to survive because the enemy is real. It’s always been real.” It then pans to crows, White Walkers, and Bran.
The trailer ends with a Sansa possibly prophecy, which paraphrases her father’s message from the first season, as it pans on Jon fighting, “When the snows fall, and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies – but the pack survives.”
This season will be the shortest yet, with only seven episodes, but will have the longest season finale of the series with 81 minutes. Game of Thrones will have one more season after this, which was promised to conclude the entire story.
Game of Thrones season 7 returns on July 16th on HBO, HBO Go, and HBO Now.
