The new Ingrid Goes West trailer is now online and, in the player below, you can take a look at the dark comedy starring Aubrey Plaza and Elizabeth Olsen. In Ingrid Goes West, Ingrid Thorburn (Plaza) is an unhinged social media stalker with a history of confusing “likes” for meaningful relationships. Taylor Sloane (Olsen) is an Instagram-famous “influencer” whose perfectly curated, boho-chic lifestyle becomes Ingrid’s latest obsession. Following the death of her mother and a series of self-inflicted setbacks, young Ingrid escapes a humdrum existence by moving out West to befriend her instagram obsession. After a quick bond is forged between these unlikeliest of friends, the façade begins to crack in both women’s lives — with comically malicious results.

Directed by Matt Spicer from a script by he and David Branson Smith, Ingrid Goes West also stars O’Shea Jackson Jr. and Wyatt Russell.

Ingrid Goes West, produced by Jared Ian Goldman, Tim White, Trevor White, Adam Mirels, Robert Mirels and Aubrey Plaza, will hit theaters August 11 via NEON.
