Will Ferrell & Jason Momoa Comedy in the Works at Paramount

Those of you writing your Khal Drogo/Anchorman fan fiction should know your dream is one step closer to reality. According to Deadline, Paramount Pictures has just purchased an untitled comedy pitch intended to star Will Ferrell (Daddy’s Home, Get Hard) and Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones, Justice League).

Although the logline isn’t being revealed yet, the screenplay by Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul (The Grinder, The D Train, Yes Man) is described as “‘Galaxy Quest’ meets ‘Ocean’s Eleven'” and casts Ferrell as a has-been TV star reuniting with the man who played his TV son (Momoa), who has now become a huge star.

Nicholas Stoller (Neighbors, Storks), who also co-wrote Yes Man, will produce with Ferrell’s Gary Sanchez team.

Ferrell will next be seen in the summer comedy The House and is currently filming Daddy’s Home 2, while Momoa leads the June indie The Bad Batch before playing Aquaman in November’s Justice League. Momoa is currently shooting the Aquaman solo movie.
