- first special promotion to tie in with the upcoming movie has started in Japan
- if you prebook tickets in Japan, you will get a Serial Code
- this can be used to unlock one of six Pikachu wearing one of Ash's caps from over the years
- distribution provides Hoenn Cap Pikachu, which has Ash's hat from the Hoenn series of the anime
- Pikachu comes with the Pikashunium Z Z-Crystal which turns Thunderbolt into the Z-Move 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt
- distribution is available until May 15th 2017, with a repeat coming in July

- coincides with the release of the Guardians Rising TCG set,
- will be distributed at GAME from May 5th.
- in France it will be distributed at Micromania from May 13th to June 12th
- in Spain, it will be distributed in GAME from May 5th 2017
- in Italy it will be given at Gamestop from May 5th
- has the moves Stone Edge, Fire Fang, Sucker Punch & Swords Dance with the ability No Guard and the hold item Life Orb
