With the "barf" mention, there's no doubt this tease is tied to River City Ransom. With that said, the old-timey verbiage certainly makes sense for Downtown Nekketsu Jidaigeki, a River City spin-off that takes place many years ago, complete with samurai. You can find the box for that game below.
