- a character named Jasper has lost something out in the wilds of the desert
- you can take on this quest to find the item Jasper is looking for
- the desert is full of enemies to fight and caves to explore
- your map on the bottom screen will always have an icon showing you where to go for main/sub-quests
- each of your three characters has a weak and strong attack
- Tethu had a sword, Miura wieldsa spear, and Roto has a boomerang
- as your characters level up, more abilities open up
- Tethu has access to a special attack that fires off a tornado at enemies
- there's another character who has a giant hammer that can be used for a powerful special attack
- each character also learns combo attacks that can be used to do more damage
- control one character at a time, swapping them with up on the d-pad
- has a day/night cycle, and the enemies get tougher when the sun goes down
- when a party member falls, you can control another one to try to revive them with the A button
- if your whole party fails, you can be revived instantly once

- there are large rocks that can only be broken by big weapons, sand piles that can be swept away by Tethu’s tornado ability, and buried treasure that could only be unearthed by a digging character
- warp points are scattered around the land to get you back to your oasis quickly
- other characters you find will give you new sidequests
- when you give Jasper the item he's looking for, he'll join your roster, giving you the power to dig
- having different characters available and visiting can lead to building new shops in town
- synthesize new weapons for your party, reorganize your party, and stock up on supplies at these buildings
