The Amazon heroine will have her own movie debuting in less than two weeks worldwide. To celebrate the upcoming release, Warner Bros. has released a new Wonder Woman international poster showcasing her strength. In it, she effortlessly lifts a tank over her head. If you’re a fan of the DC realm, you might notice the similarities between this poster and Action Comics #1. The latter was the first appearance of Superman, which was released in 1938.
Action Comics #1 is widely considered to be the first superhero comic, which is probably why they created a similar pose with the Wonder Woman international poster. The film marks the Amazon’s first entry into the big screen. Action Comics #1 is one of the most well-known comic book covers in history and features Superman lifting a car. Wonder Woman’s new poster has her lifting a much heavier tank. It goes to show that Warner Bros. is really ready to launch this film.
So far the first reactions of the film have all been positive. It seems as though DC and Warner Bros. have begun steering into the right direction and this poster will help create excitement for comic book fans around the world.
