Variety reported that Kristen Johnston (Third Rock from the Sun) has joined the cast of Real Life, a new pilot from Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, creators of the long-running hit comedy, How I Met Your Mother.
Kristin will join as a supporting role to the two leads, who play a pair of young employees who go from working on opposite sides of the country to working in the same office. The female lead, Nora, will be played by Rebecca Rittenhouse while the male lead has not yet been cast. Johnston will play Nora’s boss, Beverly.
Johnston has been a regular guest star on television and even had a lead role on the TV Land series, The Exes, but none of her roles were quite as memorable as her role as chief security agent, Sally, on Third Rock from the Sun. It is a welcome return to TV for a truly gifted performer, and we can only hope that the pilot will be picked up for a full run.
