Amazon April 2017 movie and TV titles announced
We have a list of new Amazon April titles coming to Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Video in April, which you can check out below!
April brings four highly-anticipated Amazon Original Series, one series special and one Amazon Original Movie available for Prime members to stream or download at no additional cost to their membership:
– Tumble Leaf Special: ‘Spring-a-ling Surprise’: The Emmy-award winning Amazon Original Kids Series is created by Drew Hodges – in the Spring special, all the animals come together to help Bloom the bunny hunt for his lost eggs (4/4/17)
– American Playboy S1: The Amazon Original Unscripted Series stars Matt Whelan, and chronicles the life of American icon, Hugh Hefner and the history behind the making of the Playboy brand. (4/7/17)
– The Handmaiden: The critically-acclaimed Amazon Original Movie is directed by Park Chan-wook, and tells the story of a young Korean pickpocket from the slums, who is hired by a charming con man to join an elaborate scam. (4/13/17)
– Bosch S3: The Emmy-nominated Amazon Original Series is based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling novels and stars Titus Welliver– in the third season, bystanders claim a cop threw a man off a balcony to his death, and Bosch is a suspect. In addition to HD and SD, Bosch will also be available in HDR on compatible HDR devices. (4/21/17)
– Thunderbirds Are Go S3: The Amazon Original Kids Series based on the 1960s Thunderbirds TV series, which follows a group of brothers who use a fleet of advanced vehicles to save the lives of others. (4/21/17)
– Catastrophe S3: The Emmy-nominated and BAFTA award winning Amazon Original Comedy Series written by and starring Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney, follows an Irish woman and an American man who make a mess of falling in love and starting a family in London. (4/28/17)
In addition to Amazon Original Series, licensed TV series coming to Prime Video next month include, season one of TNT’s hit series Animal Kingdom and season one of BBC’s miniseries, Thirteen. Additionally, classic movies like Almost Famous and Honey, along with comedies and dramas such as Tommy Boy and American Honey join existing films on Prime Video.
Amazon Video also welcomes a number of new titles available for purchase this month, including Oscar-nominated films like Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Hidden Figures starring Taraji P. Henson and Octavia Spencer.Amazon Video offers the latest in TV with new episodes airing the day after broadcast, including; Season 8 of Archer, Season 3 of Better Call Saul and Season 3 of Fargo.
Starting this month, look out for a separate newsletter highlighting content that will be coming to Amazon Channels, including content coming weekly to curated channels like Anime Strike and Heera.
