Tato and his mother are extremely into The Legend of Zelda. They've been enjoying the series together for years now. It's become something very special for the two of them, providing memories they'll never forget and a bond which only grows with each game.
Sadly, Tato's mother hasn't been able to enjoy the excitement for Breath of the Wild. Tato's mother was diagnosed with a brain tumor which doctors simply cannot fully treat. This tumor is going to take Tato's mother away from him, robbing the entire family of a deeply loved one. Tato is going to lose not just his mother, but his Zelda companion as well.
As Tato stays by his mother's side, he still makes sure to share their Zelda connection. He made sure to bring Breath of the Wild to her hospital bed to let her get a look at the latest entry in the series. He has plans to pour many hours into the game, but won't be doing so for now. He's going to stay by his mother's side and comfort her as best he can.
