Are you ready to visit the galaxy far, far away? You’ll now soon be able to get that chance in 2019. Today, it was announced that Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger (via D23) that the Star Wars-themed lands at Disneyland park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be opening in 2019. Although we don’t have a definitive date, it’s good to see that we finally have a set time frame for when the park will be completed.
When Star Wars Land opens it will mark the single largest Disney park expansion ever. The Star Wars-themed expansion spans 14-acres and first broke ground back in April 2016. It’s almost here folks! After 3 years of waiting then we’ll have our chance to pilot the Falcon and meet Star Wars characters in-person. What a time to be alive.
