Sony uses Pikachu as codename for upcoming phone

Sony has a number of new devices in the works, including another range of smartphones. Oddly enough, one of those devices has the codename of Pikachu. This obviously won't be the final name of the phone when it releases, but I'm left wondering why Sony decided to use the Pikachu name for the in-development phone.
