The seventh generation of the Pokémon video game series, Pokémon Sun and Moon, was released in November 2016. It was only a matter of time before the 81+ new Pokémon and 18 Alolan forms of pre-existing Pokémon such as Meowth, Raichu and Dugtrio would make their way to the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
Released earlier this month, the Sun and Moon set contains 163 cards (11 new Pokémon-GX cards that are available in Ultra Rare and Secret Rare rarities). Like with previous sets, each card can add a new level of strategy to your decks, especially with the Pokémon Championship series underway.
I’ve always liked the designs used in the half-art and full-art cards in recent sets. I especially like the Secret Rare artwork in this set. There are some great cards in this set and plenty more I want to collect, not only for play but also collection including the Eevee Evolutions (as always).
