A multitude of Mushroom Kingdom competitors are bursting onto Nintendo 3DS family systems on March 10th for a sporting showdown of epic proportions in Mario Sports Superstars. With five of the world’s most popular sports in one game, all featuring Local Play and online* multiplayer, you’ll need to bring your ‘A’ game! Start your pre-match warm-up at the official Mario Sports Superstars website.
In this supercharged selection of fully-fledged sports, take to the field, become a tactical master and dominate the competition! Tear up the turf in 11-a-side Football matches, slug it out in Baseball, get on the green in Golf and own the court in Tennis. For something a bit different, saddle up and get ready for some fast-paced Horse Racing! Check out each section of the website to get to grips with the ins and outs of each sport, before heading out onto the pitch with Mario and friends.
These are full-scale sports, featuring layers of intricacy, strategy and real-world authenticity – take on an in-depth single-player mode with various tournaments to conquer, or duke it out with friends and foes, near or far. Compete via Local Play or take the rivalry online* in all five sports!
In need of a pep talk? You can up your game with the new range of Mario Sports Superstars amiibo cards (sold separately or as part of a software bundle)! You don’t need these amiibo cards in order to play, but they can propel your characters to Superstar status and unlock snazzy new gear for them to use! Visit the amiibo section to find out more.
Mario Sports Superstars will be available in shops and as a downloadable version from Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS family systems on March 10th. On the same day, a new series of amiibo cards will also be available. Look out for specially-marked packs** of Mario Sports Superstars at launch, which include one randomly selected amiibo card as well as a handy wall chart for collectors!
