Monster Hunter XX – New Deviant, returning monsters
- when Ouma Diablos enters rage mode, he becomes so enraged his body literally starts boiling
- the heat from its body creates blasts of air, which blasts you away if you try to get too close
- Barufaruku can use its jet engine-like wings to fly at top speed, and also to shoot projectiles
- new Deviant monster is the “Hidden Dragon” Malfestio, who uses the white substance on its wings to cloak itself
- this Deviant can also steal items from hunters and you will not get them back
- it can also create shockwaves with its wings

Monster Hunter XX – New Hunting Arts
- 1 new Hunting Art for each Hunting Style
- Great Sword: Moon Break. A powerful concentrated attackn where you twirl your body around (presumably great for breaking body parts)
- Sword & Shield: Chaos Oil. You apply the oil to your sword, and it gives you effect of all the oils simultaneous (Affinity, Stamina, Destroyer, and Mind’s Eye). What’s more, the effects can also be stacked with the aforementioned oils!
- Long Sword: a special skills that boosts your attack power for a short period of time. But there’s a catch: your HP starts to slowly drop, but you can get some back by hitting the monster
- Dual Blades: a special attack where you jump forward, and use a spin attack
- Hunting Horn: a special Hunting Art that allows you to play songs while evading attacks
- Hammer: Impact Pulse. Your attacks can send shockwaves, though only for a limited period of time
- Insect Glaive: a special Hunting Art that buffs the Kinsect. Basically, it makes it more aggressive, and starts using combo moves
- Lance: a special Hunting Art that grants you a healing shield. You apply a healing potion to your shield, and for a limited amount of time, any time you guard or attack, you and nearby teammates get back some HP
- Gunlance: AA Flare. Two steps: you shoot up, and then, there’s a blast
- Bow: special move that allows you to charge up your shots while evading
- Bowgun: Charge Shot. Works a bit like the Great Sword: you can charge your shots, and turn a Level 1 shot into a Level 3 shot (great if you happen to run out of ammo)
- Switch Axe: Tempest Axe. Allows you to run quickly when in axe mode, as if the weapon was suddenly extremely light. There’s also a new finish move when using the Axe Chop combo finisher
- Charge Blade: Chainsaw Saucer. Your shield starts spinning around like a chainsaw, gathering energy, and then, you can use the gathered energy to charge your weapon
- Heavy Bowgun: charged supershot, that works with shield customization parts.
Monster Hunter XX – New moves for Prowlers / Palicoes
- the Felyne cannon: you get inside, and blast off towards monster. Hunter can trigger it, too
- the Blasting roll: you jump on top of a bomb, and roll around. You can either go straight to the monster while rolling, or press a button to kick it and send it flying toward a monster
- the Spiked Ball: works just like the blasting roll, with one difference. If you manage to hit a monster in the face with the ball, you can stun it
- a special move that allows you to sacrifice one of your 2 acorns permanently. In exchange, your HP and support gauges are maxed out (+ you’re healed)
- a special move that lets you warp back to camp
- SP Horn: a horn to blow in order to put everyone in SP Mode
- Wide Range Horn: blow it, and everyone get wide range
- Beast Mode (for Beast Prowlers): the two moves that triggers / cancels that mode
- Vase of Vitality: basically, put a healing vase on your head, which heals nearby players. Naturally, you can still move around, in order to go heal other hunters
- Power Scream: a huge scream that powers up allies (attack, etc.), and negates KO
a special move that is used when you’re hiding underground. When you activate it, jump out of the ground, and plunge at monsters with your sword.
Felynes
- when you scout one, you still get random skills, but now you can customize them
- you do so by going to the dojo, choosing the skills you don't want, paying 500 points & then getting a new skill at random
