John Wick 2 kill count infographic will make you fear The Boogeyman

This past weekend, John Wick made his return to the fold with John Wick: Chapter 2, and opened to a solid $30m. That’s just over twice as much compared to the original, which released to $14.4m. Granted, the first John Wick went on to earn $43m domestic, $86m worldwide and $56m post-theatrical. Needless to say, this sequel is certainly on the right path, and rightfully so.

In concordance with doubling the debut take, it seems that Chapter 2 had decided to double down on almost every aspect of the film. There’s more backstory, more characters, more action, and of course, way more killing. In the first film, John tallied up a kill count of 84, which is the accurate number according to John Wick co-director David Leitch. In Chapter 2, you can say he upped his game just a bit. Thanks to Australian designer George Hatzis and Visu, we get a clear representation of the slaughter left in John’s wake.

As you can see below, even in retirement, it seems that John hasn’t lost his touch. I absolutely loved the first film, but I can’t help but say that this one was even better. I can watch this movie over and over without getting tired of it. And if you happened to read this without seeing either film, stop what you’re doing right now and go watch it. You’ll thank me later, trust me.

John Wick: Chapter 2 is currently in theaters everywhere.
