Charlize Theron to star in and produce CIA thriller Need to Know
Deadline brings word that Charlize Theron (Mad Max: Fury Road, Monster) will star in and produce Universal Pictures’ adaptation of the upcoming novel Need to Know.
Written by Karen Cleveland, the outlet reports that the novel follows a wife and mother who works as a CIA analyst. One morning, while digitally searching files in hopes of unmasking a Russian sleeper cell in the U.S., she makes a shocking discovery that threatens her job, her family and her life.
Theron will produce alongside Beth Kono and AJ Dix through their Denver & Delilah Films banner.
Theron can next be seen as the primary antagonist in the upcoming The Fate of the Furious on April 14 and then in thriller The Coldest City on August 11. The actress also recently wrapped Tully, an upcoming comedy that reunites her with her Young Adult collaborators, director Jason Reitman and screenwriter Diablo Cody.
