Over the course of the next few months, trainers from around the world will face off against each other to compete to see just who is the very best. Starting on January 14, 2017, the Pokémon Regional Championships will kick off the first event in Athens, GA, before heading to different locations across North America, Latin America, and Europe.
The Pokémon Regional Championships will include a tournament for the Pokémon Trading Card Game and one of the Pokémon video games which has switched over to Pokémon Sun & Pokémon Moon. It’s a fun way to test yourself and make new friends, of course. The Regional Championships may offer up to $50,000 in prize money, scholarships, and Travel Awards (based on attendance), so there are some really cool rewards for all that hard training you’ve out in.
