Last year, Vans teamed up with Nintendo to release a line of retro-inspired shoes and apparel. Now, a new company, Freaker Sneaks, has just released a pair of custom-made sneakers inspired by the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and they look incredible!
What’s pretty cool about these custom sneakers is the fact that not only does it use the Super Famicom color scheme on the front label, but it also features a D-Pad and controller buttons on the back of each shoe. Sure, they might not function as an actual controller, but it’s still pretty awesome.
It’s pretty interesting to note that the shoes are created from a pair of Air Jordan 4’s, and are something you can order direct from the Freaker Sneaks website. If the SNES version isn’t what you are looking for, there are also a few other cool shoes you can check out, including a PlayStation 4 themed set of kicks, and even one featuring Street Fighter II.
