The story trailer for the upcoming sequel Injustice 2 has been released, and man is it nothing short of amazing. Following the story of the first Injustice game, the battle between Superman and Batman continues but with new heroes and villains joining the ranks including Supergirl, who looks to be joining Batman’s insurgency. Another interesting character revealed to be in the sequel is Darkseid, who will be a playable character that is available for those who pre-order the game.
The trailer itself gives a bit of the back story for those of you who didn’t play the game, or haven’t read the comics, but is definitely one of the best and most interesting renditions of the DC universe I have ever seen. In this universe, The Joker has caused Superman to kill a pregnant Lois Lane by accident. Fueled by rage and anger, Superman crosses his ethical boundaries and kills the Joker, deciding to rid the world of all evil and becoming a tyrant. Batman stands against it, and sides are formed between the Justice League with Batman’s insurgency having mostly non powered heroes.
