Some of the best things about the Kingdom Hearts games were the theme songs by Utada Hikaru. We’ve had the catchy “Simple and Clean/Hikari” from Kingdom Hearts and “Sanctuary” from Kingdom Hearts II. Now it has been confirmed by Teruzane Utada, the pop artist’s father/manager, that she has been working on music for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III.
A fan has asked a question about Hikaru’s involvement, and Mr. Utada replied with “We’ll do it. Actually we have already started.”

Don’t get too excited yet. He later updated with this, “one correction. regarding hikaru’s involvement in Kingdom Hearts III, we are eager to do it. however, our decision is not official yet.”

Since they have already started work on the music, I’m hopeful that everything will pan out.
In the meantime, listen to the theme songs from I and II below to help with the wait.
Kingdom Hearts III will be released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. No news on a release date yet.
