Passengers, starring Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence, is coming to theaters later this month. It follows two strangers on a 120-year journey to another planet; however, their hibernation pods have woke them up too early…. 90 years too early. Sony and NASA have partnered up to supply the movie to astronauts inside the International Space Station that’s orbiting Earth.
The world premiere of the film will be next week, and that’s when NASA will send the film to the International Space Station, provided by the studio. The astronauts will get to enjoy the film in their “limited personal time.”
In addition to that, former NASA astronauts will be helping with the film’s promotion at the red carpet including Garrett Reisman, Michael Massimino, and Nicole Stott.
