While Sword Art Online the Movie -Ordinal Scale- is set to release in Japan on February 18, 2017, Aniplex of America has announced that will it be holding the North American premiere of SAO movie on March 1, 2017, at the Grauman’s Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, California. Tickets for the movie will go on sale starting on November 15th at 12PM PST at the official SAO movie website.
Aniplex of America will also be teaming with Eleven Arts to release Sword Art Online the Movie -Ordinal Scale- in select theaters across North America following the premiere event, with dates set to be announced at a later time.
The latest installment of the Sword Art Online series, Ordinal Scale is a brand new story written by Reki Kawahara and set after the events of the Mother’s Rosario arc in Sword Art Online II.
