Experience the Blackest Night with the new mobile game DC Legends

WB Games has finally released its highly anticipated mobile game, DC Legends.

Not to be confused with the hit DC Comics TV series Legends of Tomorrow, DC Legends presents us with a storyline that is based on the popular (and my personal favorite) DC Universe crossover event, Blackest Night. Nekron has returned from the grave and has teamed up with the Manhunters to unleash terror and death across the universe. It is up to you to assemble a team of heroes and villains to combat the Nekron’s undead horde of black lanterns and protect the universe in this turn-based mobile RPG.

DC Legends is similar to a few other games out there, but brings its own unique touch to turn-based games. In this free-to-play mobile game, you are able to recruit a team of popular DC heroes and villains such as the Flash, Batman, the Joker, Wonder Woman, Doomsday, Zatanna, and many others.

Each character has a unique set of abilities that can be used in combat. Some characters will be able to boosts their teams strength, some can heal teammates, some can deal damage to multiple enemies at once, etc., so it can be important to try out different characters and build the ultimate team.

One of the great features of DC Legends is your ability to customize your heroes/villains. After each battle, you earn experience that can level up your characters and can be distributed however you like. Not just that, but the abilities that each character possesses can be leveled up as well, and there are even some that can be unlocked later down the road. Even the gear that your characters has can be upgraded to make them stronger in battle.

DC Legends has several different ways to play. Players can progress through campaign mode to defeat Nekron and the Manhunters once and for all. In PvP mode, players can pit their teams against the teams of other real players and rise to the top of the ranks and become the best in the world. There are also a number of special event quests which chance throughout the week.

In all of these modes, players will earn resources and hero fragments which can upgrade and unlock more characters. By upgrading their heroes with resources and hero fragments, the players characters can become a 5-star Legend hero with an awesome new look. The game ties in current events within the real world and DC Cinematic Universe, often releasing new heroes and villains straight from the movies, such as Suicide Squad Joker, Harley Quinn, and Dead Shot or even the Armored Batman from Dawn of Justice.

In fact, if you download the game soon, you will have the opportunity to partake in the 75th anniversary of Wonder Woman as well as the upcoming movie and will even be gifted a 3-star Wonder Woman character!

DC Legends is free to play and is available for most mobile devices. I have been playing for several days now, and I am hooked. You can find out more by checking out the DC Comics mobile game page.

In the meantime, check out the DC Legends trailer below:
