At the D23: Destination D presentation that took place in Disney World Orlando earlier today, a new concept image was revealed for the upcoming Star Wars Land. Currently, there’s construction going on at both the California and Florida theme parks to incorporate the new 14-acre land expansions.
Already announced though, is that Star Wars Land will feature a Millennium Falcon ride as the central attraction, allowing guests to pilot the iconic spaceship. There will also be another ride that places you in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance. Other attractions include a street market, cantina, and an upscale dinner club.
Something else to note, is the announcement of an update coming to Star Tours, that will incorporate a new scene comprised of elements from Episode 8. I’m sure as time goes on, there will be more revealed on what we can expect to see once the expansion is completed. Unfortunately, there isn’t an exact opening date as of yet, but we suspect it will be around 2018, close to the release of Episode 8
