ZeroLemon JuiceStick battery pack (review)

zerolemon-0

Everyone needs some sort of external battery pack for their smartphones, tablets, or other small electronics. Not everyone needs a monster battery pack like ZeroLemon’s ToughJuice, so there’s something smaller that’s just enough to power small electronic devices for the flight home. That is when you get ZeroLemon JuiceStick, a power bank that gives your electronic device enough “juice” to make it home. The battery packs have a 2600mAh capacity which is enough to get you more than 60 percent of your device battery power back.

Design

Just like the ToughJuice, this came in a straight-to-the-point and simple design, plastic housing to showcase the item or items in this case. The JuiceStick comes in a family pack variety; you will get three JuiceSticks in black, silver, and pink. Inside the boxes are the JuiceStick, a warranty card, and a USB cable to charge your power bank as well as your electronics. This is a simple design for a power bank, so do not expect any fancy LEDs to tell you how much power you have left in the ‘Stick. You will find a USB port, IN and OUT, on the top side of the stick and a power button. That is it very simple.

Usage

I recently used this battery pack this past Sunday on my trip to watch the Oakland Raiders and this was a lifesaver. This was my first time going to Oakland to watch them play as well as do some tailgating beforehand. So, of course, this meant taking lots of pics and posting it on social media with a couple of hours of posting food pictures, hanging out with random folks, and posting videos of the craziness that happened during tailgating. One can’t be at the game and not post any pictures and videos, especially after a thrilling and heart-pounding end. So a celebratory video of all the fans in the stadium going crazy was needed.

After all that craziness, you can expect your battery to be dipping very low. Luckily I had planned that this would happen and brought the Stick with me to the game. I had left the stadium with just under 10 percent of my battery left on my phone. By the time I got to the airport, I was at 25 percent and when I got home, I was at 65 percent. I’m guessing I had some juice in that stick left but since I was home, I just plugged into my wall charger to finish the job.

The only downside is there is no indicator light or anything to say how much “juice” is left on the stick. When I received them, I didn’t know how much was left so I just let them charge overnight. Not really too big of a downside since I planned to use the entire thing to power my phone.

Final Reaction

This is a great item for those times when you know you’re going to be out and about and just need a little more power to get you home. These can be great for those emergencies when you forget to charge your phone the night before and need something to get your phone through the day.
