Aniplex of America and Kadokawa Pictures revealed that the Sword Art Online -Original Scale- film will see a simultaneous worldwide release on February 18, 2017. The latest entry into the Sword Art Online series takes place after the events of the Mother’s Rosario arc from Sword Art Online II and include a brand new original story written by SAO’s original author, Reki Kawahara.
Aniplex of America also released a new trailer which introduces new characters and more of the story of Ordinal Scale:

Yuri is an idol of the ARMMORPG game Ordinal Scale. If players encounter her during the game, they can acquire special upgrades.
Not much is known about Eiji. A top ranked player in Ordinal Scale, Kirito and his friends will eventually encounter this mysterious player.
