Happy Birthday, Star Trek!
Can you believe it has been EXACTLY 50 years since the first episode of Star Trek: The Original Series aired?! ‘The Man Trap’, first aired on September 8th, 1966, introduced the audiences to Captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner), Spock (Leonard Nimoy), and his crew on their five-year mission in space.
Paramount Pictures and CBS have released a 50th Anniversary video featuring clips from many of Star Trek films – new and old – reflecting the many years and looks into the franchise. Fans everywhere are celebrating with cosplays, social media posts, and even Facebook emojis to show their love for Trek.
