Starting at the beginning of this year, rumors of a higher-end PlayStation 4 have surfaced under the names PS4K and PS Neo. Today at Sony’s PlayStation Meeting, they officially revealed it as the PS4 Pro.

First they announced the PS4 Slim (pictured below) releasing on September 15 for $299. Then they went into the juicy stuff: PS4 Pro. Leader of Architecture on PS4 Mark Cerny took the stage to show off the features of the console, first showcasing the 4K support on games like Watch Dogs 2Rise of the Tomb Raider, and For Honor.

Secondly, High Dynamic Range (HDR) will be a feature similar to the Xbox One S. Colors will be brighter and sharper making for brilliant-looking scenes even in HD. Thankfully, HDR will also come out on the original PS4 through a firmware update.

The big selling point for most users will probably be how much better the games will look without 4K. Games will look and perform better thanks to the upgraded GPU and higher clock speed. Some games like Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be Pro compatible right out of the box while others like Battlefield 1 will be supported later this year.

PS4 Pro will be releasing on November 10, 2016, for the price of $399, the same price the original PS4 launched with. Will you be buying the console, or will you stick with your current PS4? Sound off in the comments below!
