Netflix set to reunite ‘Mythbuster’ trio for new show

Many fans of the long-running Discovery Channel series Mythbusters– including myself- were sad to see the creative trio gone from the series, as well as the end of the series, of course. Grant Imahara, Tory Belleci, and Kari Byron all brought laughter and ingenuity to the masses, through the builds and myths they set upon themselves to prove or disprove. Since the departure, we’ve seen Tory and Kari sporadically on TV, hosting shows here and there, and Grant has been active with parts in TV and film, from portraying Mr. Sulu in the web series Star Trek Continues, to his appearance in the B-movie extravaganza, Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!. It seems, now, that we haven’t seen the last  of these three amigos, as Netflix, and the troupe, have made a big announcement at this year’s Dragon Con.

The team announced during their panel that they would be debuting a new show on Netflix entitled The White Rabbit Project, airing on December 9.

The show, which began production in May, is said to be similar to the topics and ideas covered in Mythbuster, but in no way related to the series. According to members at the panel, the show was described as “Mythbusters in Wonderland.” The show will be produced by Beyond Productions, the same company that also produced Mythbusters.

What do you think of the new show? What are some of your favorite trio moments from Mythbusters? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
