Japan will see its own Nintendo Classic system with 30 built-in games

Earlier this year, Nintendo unveiled the NES Classic Edition, a miniature system that will feature 30 different games that were released back on the Nintendo Entertainment System including games like Mega Man, Contra, Mario and Kirby to name a few. North Americans won’t be the only ones enjoying a variety of games. Nintendo of Japan has revealed the Nintendo Classic Family Computer (also known as the Famicom) for an October release.

It’s basically the same deal with a different shell and both controllers built into the system rather than being sold separately. It does include 30 pre-loaded games with a slightly different roster of games which include Yie Ar Kung-Fu, Atlantis no Nazo, Solomon’s Key, Tsuppari Ōzumō (aka Shoving Sumo), Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari (River City Ranson), Final Fantasy III (the real one not the Super Nintendo one known as VI), Downtown Nekketsu Kōshinkyoku: Soreyuke Daiundōkai, and Mario Open Golf.

This also gives us our first look at the interface for the NES Classic Edition, something that Nintendo of America hasn’t really shown off. (One coming to the West may include a few different features.)

The Nintendo Classic Family Computer will release on November 10th, one day before its North American counterpart, and will retail for 5,980円 ($59.17).
