Watchdogs 2 gameplay walkthrough shows off new features and game modes

Watch Dogs 2

The first Watch Dogs game was great in concept, but delivery fell a bit short. To me, the campaign felt slightly lacking and once the completed, the multiplayer was shallow and wasn’t anything special. Ubisoft says that they’ve done an entire overhaul for the next iteration, Watch Dogs 2, and so far it does look somewhat improved.

Aside from the new setting in San Francisco (first game took place in Chicago) and new protagonist Marcus Holloway (Aiden Pearce in the first game), there seems to be a myriad of upgrades touted thus far. In the video below, Animation Director Colin Graham walks us through some of the changes in Watch Dogs 2.

The most obvious and much needed was multiplayer and co-op. There’s now the ability to play through co-op missions rather than just adversarial modes, along with a new adversary mode called Bounty Hunter. Driving and hacking have been refined as well as new additional gadgets to go along with your arsenal of abilities.

Something else that stuck out was the customization options. In the original Watch Dogs, Aiden had but a few clothing options that you can change. In Watch Dogs 2, Marcus will have access to over 600 customization options including clothing, etc. Check out the video below for the rest of the details and let us know in the comments below if you’re excited to see what else this game has to offer.

Watch Dogs 2 hits stores on November 15th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
