Netflix has released the official trailer for the new sci-fi thriller, Anon, where “anonymity is the enemy.” Written and directed by Oscar nominee Andrew Niccol (Gattaca, The Truman Show) and starring Clive Owen (The Knick) and Amanda Seyfried (Twin Peaks), you can check out the Anon trailer now in the player below!
Sal Frieland (Owen) is a detective in a world with no privacy or anonymity; where everyone’s lives are transparent, traceable, and recorded by the authorities; where crime almost ceases to exist. But in trying to solve a series of murders, Frieland stumbles on a young woman known only as the Girl (Seyfried). She has no identity, no history and is invisible to the cops. Sal realizes this may not be the end of crime, but the beginning.
Anon is produced by Niccol, Oliver Simon, Daniel Baur, and Oda Schaefer. Colm Feore, Mark O’Brien, Sonya Walger, Joe Pingue, and Iddo Goldberg also star in the film.
Anon launches on Netflix on May 4, 2018.
