Even though the Destiny 2 servers have already gone live, the game doesn’t officially release until 9:00pm PST/12:00am EST. Although anyone that has a physical copy already has the ability to play currently, but if you’re a digital owner, you’ll have to wait. Until then though, fans and gamers alike are all eagerly anticipating jumping into Bungie’s newest iteration of the series.
What better way to get you pumped up, than an awesome brand-new live-action trailer! The trailer is entitled “New Legends Will Rise” and features the fun-loving Exo Cayde-6 (Nathan Fillion) giving a bunch of recruits one of his legendary pep talks. He basically gives them the rundown of what they’ll lose if they don’t succeed in the mission. The trailer then literally portrays exactly what the game will feel like…in your head.
We get to see all three classes using their new Supers and Abilities, and it certainly gets the adrenaline going. Granted, it may not be exactly the same when you’re playing the game, but damn that trailer is good. And why shouldn’t it be, as it was directed by Kong: Skull Island director Jordan Vogt-Roberts. Vogt-Roberts is known for his video game appreciation, as there were numerous influences referenced in Skull Island. Check it out for yourself below!
