On Switch development:
Switch is incredibly easy to develop for. Lightyears ahead Wii U and 3DS. The dev environment is great even when compared to PS4, Steam and Xbox. PC will always be the easiest but I'd say Switch is definitely up there.
On SteamWorld Dig 2's size:
It's going to be A LOT BIGGER. Think Super Metroid big with multiple worlds, lots of upgrades, a plethora of monsters and more traps and challenges than ever before. Sorry for the PR speak, I'm just really excited to finally get to talk about the game :D
On SteamWorld Dig 2's release date:
This summer :D We'll announce the release date closer to E3
On a potential physical release for SteamWorld Dig 2:
No word on a physical release yet. We're in the talks with distributors, but have nothing to announce at this moment. BUT SteamWorld Collection did REALLY well for us, so physical makes a lot of sense. I would also want to be able to taste our very own Switch cartridge.
On StreamWorld Dig/Heist coming to Switch:
Not impossible, but we're focusing on SWD2 for the moment :) Cheers!
On SteamWorld Dig 2's price:
We have not decided yet, but we'd love to keep it in line with what we charge for our previous SteamWorld games :D Cheers!
On StreamWorld Dig 2's battery drain:
We're about to look into it. But I played an early build for more than fours hours straight and still had plenty of juice left.
On potential for a Rusty amiibo:
We'd love one! Nothing in the works though :D
On SteamWorld Dig 2's chances of multiplayer:
We have no multiplayer support but would love to make a dedicated multiplayer game in the future. Switch is perfect for those experiences!
On a SteamWorld Dig 2 demo:
We might release one on the eShop. But nothing is decided :D
On SteamWorld Dig 2's main character and the decision to create a sequel:
Dorothy was the right way bot for the job for plenty of reasons. I don't want to spoil anything, but let's just say that she's incredibly important for the SteamWorld universe. Not just for Dig.
Two reasons. Mostly because we ran out of cash when making the first one. There were so many things we couldn't do back then, and the success of SWH and SWD paved the way for a true Dig sequel. The second reason is very simple: Fans have been asking for years and now we finally get to answer their prayers :D
On supporting Switch with more games:
Who knows? That's a story for another day :D
On SteamWorld Dig 2's development time:
(It's been in development) Roughly since we wrapped up SteamWorld Heist development :)
