Arcana: Chad Stahelski to helm Lionsgate’s urban fantasy film
According to Deadline, Lionsgate has successfully acquired the rights to Predators writing duo Michael Finch and Alex Litvak’s spec script titled Arcana, with John Wick director Chad Stahelski officially signing on to helm the project. This will mark Stahelski’s first non-John Wick collaboration with the studio as its director.

Arcana is being described as gritty urban fantasy that will be set in the hidden world of magical clans. On top of directing, Stahelski is also set to serve as a producer along with Jason Spitz and Alex Young through their 87Eleven Entertainment banner. Scribes Finch and Litvak are also executive producing on the project.
Chad Stahelski is best known for his stunt works in action films such as The Crow, The Matrix films, Van Helsing, Constantine, 300, Ninja Assassin, Iron Man 2, The Hunger Games, and Deadpool 2. After doing numerous stunts since 1993, he finally got his big break as a director through the blockbuster action thriller film franchise of John Wick. The fourth and fifth installments are currently in development at Lionsgate which are expected to be shot back-to-back. Stahelski and John Wick creator Derek Kolstad are also working together on a John Wick spinoff series titled The Continental and a spinoff film titled Ballerina.
