NBC releases A Parks and Recreation Special on YouTube!
A day after the surprise reunion episode of the beloved NBC sitcom, the network has released the full A Parks and Recreation Special onto YouTube for free featuring the return of everybody’s favorite characters from Pawnee, Indiana! The episode can be viewed in the player below!

In addition to NBC releasing the full episode, Ben Schwartz (Sonic the Hedgehog) took to Twitter to share the extended cut of his Jean-Ralphio segment, which can be viewed below!

A Parks and Recreation Special saw the return of all of our favorite citizens of Pawnee, Ind., including Amy Poehler’s Leslie Knope, Rashida Jones’ Ann Perkins, Aziz Ansari’s Tom Haverford, Nick Offerman’s Ron Swanson, Aubrey Plaza’s April Ludgate, Chris Pratt’s Andy Dwyer, Adam Scott’s Ben Wyatt, Rob Lowe’s Chris Traeger, Retta’s Donna Meagle and Jim O’Heir’s Gary “Jerry Larry” Gergich, as well as guest appearances from some recurring stars.

The 30-minute special, filmed from each of the stars’ homes, will center on Leslie as she is determined to stay connected to her friends in a time of social distancing while also looking to raise funds for Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund, enabling food banks to secure the resources they need to serve the most vulnerable memories of the community. “Like a lot of other people, we were looking for ways to help and felt that bringing these characters back for a night could raise some money,” executive producer Michael Schur said in a statement. “I sent a hopeful email to the cast and they all got back to me within 45 minutes. Our old ‘Parks and Rec’ team has put together one more 30-minute slice of (quarantined) Pawnee life and we hope everyone enjoys it. And donates!”

State Farm and Subaru of America are also partnering with the telecast and making matching donations of $150,000 and combined with NBCUniversal and the whole group of the series, a total of $500,000 in matching donations will be made through May 21.
“In such uncertain times, we can’t think of anyone better than Leslie Knope to unite our country with her unbridled enthusiasm and compassion,” Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, Co-Presidents of Scripted Programming, NBC Entertainment, said in a statement. “A huge thank you to Mike Schur and the cast of ‘Parks and Recreation’ for putting this wonderful special together and bringing a smile to all our faces while raising money for such a worthwhile cause.”
Parks and Recreation is a production of Deedle-Dee Productions, Fremulon, 3 Arts Entertainment and Universal Television. Greg Daniels, Michael Schur, Howard Klein, David Miner, Morgan Sackett and Dean Holland serve as executive producers for the series.
The first seven seasons of the Emmy-nominated series is currently available to stream on Netflix!
