The first title, which will hit shelves on September 8, is a lavishly illustrated, full-color introduction to the world of the beloved game. The hardcover volume offers both new players and long-time fans essential information on characters, gameplay and more, in addition to exclusive commentary from director Tetsuya Nomura and producer Yoshinori Kitase.

The poster collection, which will debut on November 17, will feature a collection of 22 full-color, premium-quality removable posters celebrating the game’s rich legacy, with images depicted from the world of Final Fantasy VII, including Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus, Crisis Core, Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Both titles will be available to fans through all major book sales outlets as well as from the Square Enix store for $25 each.

In 2015 it was announced that the remake of Final Fantasy VII was in development with original artist Tetsuya Nomura working as the director. The remake is expected to retell the story of the original game following fan-favorite Cloud Strife. Further details about the new game are being kept under wraps but more information will be revealed this year at E3 in June.

Final Fantasy VII was first released in 1997 and at the time of its debut became an instant fan-favorite with over a million copies sold in North America. In 2005, it was reported that the game has sold more than 11 million copies worldwide.

The game also garnered multiple awards including two Achievement awards for Console Adventure Game of the Year and Console Role Playing Game of the Year from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences. Electronic Gaming Monthly also awarded the game with the Readers’ Choice PlayStation Game of the Year and Readers’ Choice Role-Playing Game of the Year.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will be available for the PS4 on April 10.
