Paramount removes The Lovebirds, Blue Story from schedule
Two more films have bitten the coronavirus dust as Paramount Pictures has pulled the upcoming romantic action comedy The Lovebirds and British crime thriller Blue Story from its release schedule hours after making the decision to pull A Quiet Place Part II from its calendar, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

A couple (Issa Rae & Kumail Nanjiani) experiences a defining moment in their relationship when they are unintentionally embroiled in a murder mystery. As their journey to clear their names takes them from one extreme – and hilarious – circumstance to the next, they must figure out how they, and their relationship, can survive the night.
The comedy crime drama also stars Emmy nominee Paul Sparks (House of Cards), Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect trilogy), and Kyle Bornheimer (Marriage Story).
The movie is directed by Michael Showalter (The Big Sick) and written by Aaron Abrams (The Go-Getters) and Brendan Gall (Blindspot, The Go-Getters) from a story by Martin Gero. Tom Lassally, Oly Obst, Todd Shulman, Jordana Mollick and Gero will produce, with Nanjiani, Rae, and Showalter all serving as executive producers.

Best friends Timmy (Stephen Odubola) and Marco (Micheal Ward) go to the same high school in Peckham but live in neighboring London boroughs. When Marco’s beaten up by one of Timmy’s primary school friends the two boys wind up on rival sides of a never-ending cycle of a gang war in which there are no winners… only victims.
Written and directed by Rapman, the film also stars Stephen Odubola, Micheal Ward, Rohan Nedd, Kadeem Ramsay, Khali Best, and Junior Afolabi Salokun.
From Paramount Pictures, BBC Films, DJ Films, and JOI Productions, Blue Story is produced by Damian Jones and Joy Gharoror-Akpoiotor.
The films’ removals from the schedules comes at a time when many studios are shifting their release calendars in the wake of concerns regarding the coronavirus outbreak, with Universal Pictures having pushed the ninth installment in its Fast & Furious franchise back a whole year, while No Time to Die was shifted from next month to November.
