Chris Evans and Scott Derrickson Team Up for Bermuda

In a random bit of fate, director Scott Derrickson (Doctor Strange) will team up with Chris Evans (Avengers: Endgame, Knives Out) on the thriller Bermuda. Those paying attention will know that Derrickson was once attached to Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but ultimately left that project. What’s weirder is that Sam Raimi, now the director of the Doctor Strange sequel, was once attached to Bermuda. Mind blown.

The Hollywood Reporter didn’t offer many clues as to the film’s plot, suffice to say the story will revolve around the Bermuda Triangle. Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard wrote the original script, which Derrickson and his writing partner C. Robert Cargill will rewrite.

Evans continues to stay busy in the wake of Avengers: Endgame, which saw the actor bid adieu to Captain America. Evans recently appeared in the Academy Award-nominated Knives Out, and is currently filming the TV series Defending Jacob. He is also circling a role in the remake of Little Shop of Horrors.

Derrickson directed the horror hits The Exorcism of Emily Rose and Sinister, as well as the remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still. He is currently attached to direct When Gravity Falls and Two Eyes Staring.
